    Remove the pressure of remembering to make a gift on our official GiveBIG 2019 day, May 8. Mark your calendars! Starting April 23rd until May 7th, you can help us kick off a fantastic start by scheduling your gift to be applied on May 8.

Hyde Shuttles: Driver

Position: Shuttle Driver
Program: Hyde Shuttles
Location: Burien, Des Moines, Shoreline
Schedule: One weekday 4 hr shift, per week
Duration: Ongoing

Summary: Give lifts to lift spirits! Drive the Hyde Shuttle to help seniors and people with disabilities stay active in the community.

Description: The Hyde Shuttles provide many seniors and residents with disabilities with safe and reliable transportation for needed socialization, errands, appointments and recreational activities. Clients of the program often describe the service as a “lifeline” in maintaining their independence.

Come be a part of this life-sustaining and enriching program! Caring and reliable volunteers are needed to drive the shuttles on weekdays. The program currently has several open shifts for volunteer drivers, particularly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We offer free training, and you do not need a special driver’s license. If you have the “drive” to help others, this is the role for you!

Requirements: Volunteers must have a valid Washington State driver’s license, no moving violations in the past three years, ability to pass a criminal background check and a CDL physical.
