King County Fall Prevention Coalition

When community bonds are strong, we improve opportunities for social connection and quality of life for us all – join us today:

Our Why: 48.1% of all injury -related deaths among King County residents age 65+ are due to unintentional falls (2022).  This percentage increases with age. 77% of injury deaths among residents 85+ were due to a fall. Falls are clearly a significant issue for older adults, one which has huge costs for individuals, for the healthcare system and our community in general. Falls are preventable.

Our Mission: Reduce falls and fall-related injuries in older adults through community collaboration, awareness, education, and evidence-based interventions
