
Sample Page H1 Header
All headings should be followed with at least 1 sentence or paragraph. H1 headers should never be followed with an H3 or H4 subheader – use headers in their proper order for improved accessibility, search engine optimization and usability.
Note: Only the Page with Title Template auto-displays the Page Title; otherwise, the H1 header must be manually edited.
H2 Subheader
Use the optional Block Editor Color Settings (Block sidebar) to emphasize text with color. Do not use subheaders for stylistic emphasis.
Text highlighted dark purple – can be used at any text size
The Color Settings can also be used for reversed-out text
Text highlighted purple – can be used at any text size (9.3:1 color contrast)
Text highlighted light purple – can be used at any text size (7:1)
Text highlighted dark orange – must be minimum large (24 pixels) font-size (or 18 pixels AND bold) because 3.4:1 color contrast is below 4.5:1 accessibility guidelines for normal size text
Text highlighted dark orange – must be 18 pixels AND bold (or 24 pixels and normal weight) to meet accessibility guidelines for normal size text
Text highlighted orange – cannot be used because 2.5:1 color contrast is below 3:1 minimum (for large text)
Text highlighted light orange – cannot be used because 2.1:1 color contrast below 3:1 minimum (for large text)
Text highlighted red – can be used at any text size (5:1 color contrast)
