Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
Drivers: Volunteers are needed to deliver meals in Renton on Wednesday mornings. Drivers typically arrive at the Center at 10 am, load up the meals, and are done with their route in 1 to 2 hours. We are looking for volunteers for a weekly route and volunteers to be a back-up to fill in as needed.
Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication skills, reliability, and good cheer.
Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, have a valid driver’s license and insurance, the ability to lift 15 pounds and navigate stairs, and be age 18 or more.
